Iridessa Costume and the Magical Fairies of Pixie Hollow

Pixie dust, fairy tea parties and a magical place. Do the girls in your family love the timeless magic of fairies? Whether your favorite fairy is Silvermist, Fawn, Rosetta, Iridessa, or TinkerBell, every fairy makes a great fancy dress costume for ladies, teens and children on Halloween. Read more to take a tour through Pixie Hollow. You'll learn a little bit more about each fairy and some ideas when deciding which Halloween costume is best for you. Maybe your personality matches a Pixie Hollow fairy.

TinkerBell was made famous by the original Peter Pan stories written by J.M. Barrie. Tinker fairies are also known as "Pots and Pans" faires. TinkerBell, sometimes referred to as "Miss Bell", sassy, feisty and fun loving. TinkerBell loves silverbells which are her favorite flower. The thing she loves the most is coming up with awesome inventions from objects she finds around Pixie Hollow. Tink built a balloon carrier made from a compass, a gourd and some cotten and it flies. Tink gets upset when she can't fix something. Her favorite treat, pumpkin muffins. Tink lives in a tea kettke get marks for being the bravest around humans.

The TinkerBell costume consists of a strapless leaf design in very fairy shade of green. This design can be worn by a toddler, child, or by an adult in a very sexy configuration using a mini-skirt accompanied by fairy wings and a wand and jewelry as accessories. A teen or children configuration could be more conservative with long green stockings. A great effect is to buy some spray glitter to use for pixie dust and spray Tinker Bell and other fairies with a good portion of it. The Tinker Bell deluxe costume is green and comes with purple wings and looks best with white Mary Janes and white stockings.

Silvermist - the other faires call her Sil - is a water fairy with a very go-with-the-flow type of fairy who can be a tad wishy-washy. But, Silvermist is always willing to listen to another fairy in need. Water chestnuts are what Silvermist loves to eat but she does not like loud noises. She generally want everyone to get along and listen to her heart. Her favorite hangout is the babbling brook.

Silvermist wears a cool blue dress. The Silvermist girls deluxe costume has shades of silver, aqua blue and purple. The costume is ankle length and covers both shoulders but the left shoulder is fishnet material. Her wings are also silver, aqua blue and purple. The typical costume comes with the outfit and the wings. The Rosetta costume looks great with silver slippers.

The garden fairy of the group is Rosetta. Rosetta loves buttercup soup and her favorite flower is roses of course. The sweet and sassy Rosetta, all dressed in pink, is all about delivering advice to her fellow fairies. Known for her charming accent she loves giving makeovers and always strives to look her best. Living in her rose-blossom chalet, she tells bedtime stories to her beloved potted plants.

The Rosetta costume consists of a 100% polyester coral and pink nylon petal skirt and sheer detachable wings. Sizes and styles of the Rosetta Costume are available in girls, teens and ladies sizes.

The fairy who's signature look is her long single hair braid is Fawn. Fawn is an animal ferry who loves melted acorn butter on everything. She is very rough-and-tumble and is a tomboy. Her favorite flower is the Tiger Lily. Living in her tree house carved from a pinecone, she enjoys spending time with animals and enjoys speaking toad.

Her costume consists of earth tones such as brown, flesh and deep orange. Her skirt comes to the knees and has shoulder straps. The costume also has fairy wings.

Last but certainly not least is the lovely Iridessa who the fairies know as Dess or Dessa. Iridessa is a neat freak, liking to have things in order which is common with light fairies. Her favorite treat is lemon meringue pie. She often worries about things but tries to stay positive and keep a good attitude. She looks bright and golden in her sun dress much like her favorite flower, the sunflower.

The Iridessa costume is golden yellow full gown. The costume comes with light fairy wings.

All fairies bring their own unique identity to the world. Their styles, looks and personalities are full of life and they make really fun characters to become on Halloween for ladies, teens, children and even toddlers. I hope you liked this review of the Fairies from Pixie Hollow. Go to the Tinkerbell Costumes web site for more info about your favorite fairy costumes.

Creating a Magical Fairy Garden With Garden Fairy Statues and the Right Plant Selection

Garden fairy statues are one of my favorites in the world of garden statues, and for good reason... They are cute and beautiful and they really enhance your flower garden.  Here are some of the flowers that will give you the best results in creating a magical flower garden.

When you are using whimsical and mythical garden sculptures you pretty much need to go with either very formal gardens (think English gardens) or very informal gardens (think cottage gardens).   If  you are using dragons, griffins, or gargoyles in your design than formal is the way to go.  But for fairies, informal gardens will be your best bet.

Many people think of an informal garden as an overgrown mess, but that doesn't have to be the case at all.  To get a neat look, you just need to choose the right plants for your fairies to find a home.

Of course, I do have favorite plants for incorporating into a magical fairy garden.  They include roses, climbers, and cottage perennials.  When it comes to climbing plants, clematis top my list.   You can do clematis in two different ways.  The first way is to simply allow the clematis to climb up your fence.  This works very well if you use several different types of clematis, so that it blooms all season. Use fairy statues that can attach to your fence and peak from between the plants.  The second way is to use a single plant on a garden obelisk.    This plant can them become the centerpiece of your garden.

There is almost no other plant that can beat the impact of a rose.  I am not talking about hard to grow florist tea roses here, but rather the kind that your grandmother may have had in her garden.  I recommend doing roses in a bed by themselves as they don't like competition.  The newer varieties look great, bloom long, and are disease resistant.  The best part is that roses are a natural match to fairies.

My other favorite type of flower to use with garden fairy statues is a group of garden perennials.  These combine very well with clematis and if you plan right, you will have blooms all season.  When you are choosing perennial flowers for your bed be sure to buy for your climate and sunlight.  Your fairy garden statues will look right at home in a bed like this.

Using garden fairy sautes will bring a sense of whimsy and magic to your garden.  They will brighten up your home and make you smile.

Choosing 'The One' From The Perfect Tattoos Fairies Around

Women tend to choose fairy tattoos because fairies form part of a mysterious world and are very mysterious and intriguing. Fairies, unlike angels, seem to be more carnal and surely are more frantic. Many times, fairy tattoos are depicted with moth or butterfly wings. Fairies usually will have a free and earth like tone to them. These tattoos may also portray different kind of moods such as sadness, grace, trickery, anger, easiness or joy. Although women are the ones who often choose fairies, some men pick masculine fairies or pixies.

These tattoos are often mixed with other tattoos such as fire, dragons, Celtic symbols, or natural designs such as butterflies and flowers.

A Magical Fairy Party

A few months ago, as I was surfing the net, I came across several websites that spoke of Fairy Parties. It had never occurred to me that I could plan such a party for my almost 5 year old daughter. I got very excited about having a Fairy Party! I just didn't know where to start. I searched several sites that gave great ideas for Fairy games, I found lots of places that I could pick up Fairy party supplies, I even found a few that had "Parties in a Box". I decided to get one of the "Fairy Party in a Box" type packages and not have to worry about anything. Which party do I choose?! Hmmm... With so many options, I searched for 3 days. I went through every single Fairy Party that there is on the web. I was up til 2:00 in the morning every night-I was a woman obsessed!

Then I came across a party that was a little different. This party was called "The Ultimate Fairy Party for 8" at magicfairygarden.com . This was the one for me! It started off with me sending them a picture of my sweet little daughter, I dressed her up in a fairy costume and then they put wings on her and placed her into a fairy setting that my darling fairy chose herself. I sent them the wording for how I wanted the cards to read.

The next day the cards were approved by me and the package was off. Magic Fairy Garden offered a regular mailing or an express (I picked express, I couldn't wait to see this box). The website said my package from fairyland would arrive in 6 days, but I got it in only 5 (mind you, they were 5 long days... I'm sure that I was more excited than my daughter). I waited for my daughter to go to bed and that night I opened up my box.

Everything was just as I had imagined. There were 8 sets of costumes, there was my beautiful invitations with my fairy on them, several party games, grab bags, and the piece de resistance was a special birthday throne. It fit on my dining room chair and had a gold crown with fur trim and rhinestones. I took a seat and knew my daughter would love it when I surprised her with it on her birthday. There was a detailed brochure with step-by-step instructions for the party. Also, included in my box was something called "The Secret Fairy Ceremony" it was a ceremony that we were to perform at the end of the party. What a wonderful way to end a great party. I was impressed. They thought of everything.

The day of the party I put the party sign on my door and decorated with the butterflies that were in the party box. My daughter was out with her dad picking up the cake, while I set up so I was able to put the throne in her spot at the table. When they arrived she was so thrilled about the throne, she screamed and ran for the chair. I put the fairy that came in my package on the top of the cake and placed the games out... we were ready! When the kids arrived we played, ate and performed the Secret Fairy ceremony, it was great! Absolutely magical! It had been timed perfectly. The kids had such a great time, they all left my house dressed as fairies. It's been 2 months since that party and I still have kids talking about it. My daughter and her friends thinks that I give the best parties. I would recommend the Ultimate Fairy Party to anyone who wants to have a great Fairy Party.
